Daily Duties at Activu Corporation:

Recruited to manage and grow the Project Installation Team, including 3 Project Managers, a Program Manager and 12 other project team members. This included updating the Project Management Methodology & processes and implementing operational efficiencies, as well as development of a complete training program for all resources. Held responsibility for a broad range of PMO related functions including portfolio management and project staffing, as well as numerous management functions such as hiring/firing, performance reviews and budget management. Selected Highlights: • Development of a Training Program – Developed and implemented a complete training program for team members. This included analyzing the full spectrum of project activities performed by all four levels of team members, and organizing them into Training Modules, as well as guiding staff members in the writing of these Training modules. All team members were then provided training appropriate to their level, and rated in each of the skills as a method of providing a baseline for future performance reviews and a tool for assessment of readiness for promotion within the newly created Career Path. • Development of a Formal Career Path – Developed and implemented a formal career path for Project Installation Team members. This included creating a structured set of job titles and formalizing the minimum skills set needed to attain each of these job levels. Subsequently, two staff members were promoted using the new structure, to fill two open positions. • Management of Project Management Staff – Managed the daily activities of a group of 3 hands-on Project Managers. This included mentoring the Project Managers in numerous aspects of PM Methodology and Project Management, especially related to fiscal responsibility such as project budget management and processing change orders to ensure project cost increases are passed along to the client.
