Daily Duties at R.E. Pierson Construction Company, Inc.:

Actively collaborate with owners, contractors and outside counsel to ensure the proper handling of all legal issues for a multimillion-dollar real estate/construction company. Liaise between internal management and attorneys to oversee case matters involving real estate and construction management issues. Conduct extensive risk management analyses, contributing strong critical thinking and analytical abilities. Initiate and defend bid challenges, prosecute construction claims and enforce constriction lien rights. Serve as the key staff member responsible for responding to insurance coverage issues. • Actively manage multi-million dollar construction projects while simultaneously handling administrative activities, further illustrating exceptional multitasking abilities. • Thoroughly review, negotiate and draft sophisticated and complex business agreements, including complex commercial leases and amendments, management and vendor contracts, personal guarantees and promissory notes and corporate documents. • Educate and update principals, senior management and internal departments regarding statuses of various issues in both litigation and transactional situations. • Perform additional work on ancillary matters, including resolving HR, employment and labor-related issues, hiring and training new staff members, and developing solid business relationships.
