Daily Duties at Quality Verification Services:

Perform quality surveys (audits) of welding shops and electrical mfrs against national codes and standards, and client requirements. Conduct pre-inspection meetings with vendors. Perform in-process inspection of electrical and welded equipment, and rotating machinery (motors & generators); witness Non-Destructive Testing (UT, MT, PT, RT, charpy, tensile, hardness), and factory acceptance (functional) testing of same. Welded equipment includes piping, pressure vessels, valves, heat exchangers, and structural steel. Electrical testing included continuity, insulation megger, hi-potential withstand, spin balance, locked rotor, vibration. Inspected surface preparation and coating applications.
