Daily Duties at Hartford Courant:

Worked as a part-time event & direct mail coordinator (30 hours per week) on a consistent basis while expanding role to include overseeing 3rd party contracts, promotions, direct mail creative and supporting other departments as needed Researched, planned and executed events, trade shows and sales activities for New Business department Provided support to Direct Mail department from creation of marketing pieces through budget reporting Responsible for making up gap in sales while supervisor was on leave. Created Direct Mail piece increasing circulation by almost 500,000 pieces in 2007. Response ranged from .12-.18, driving approximately 540 new sales, and an increase of 6% - 12% from average RR. Piece was then implemented into future sales campaigns due to success Managed trade shows, 3rd party events and contests ensuring all details of event are executed, contractual obligations met Assisted Circulation and Marketing department in securing partnership with leading mall in Hartford area in 2007. Direct results included: adding 25 days of events, 4 trade shows and 5 e-mail blasts as well many inherent branding opportunities for 2008 Administered budget reconciliation of retail sales and Direct Mail cost centers as well as EOM finance reports Received “Kudos Award” for taking project management lead in Advertising department while they were short-staffed
