Daily Duties at Community Health & Counseling Services:
•Responsible for providing immediate crisis counseling services for youth and families. •Provided brief but thorough counseling sessions (usually 3 sessions per case) and conducted interview and clinical assessments of youth/adolescents to diagnose, identify needs and services required on an individual case by case basis in home and hospital E.D. settings. •Made referrals to outside provider services, psychiatric hospitals, crisis beds, group homes, and ongoing case management. •Provide 20 to 40 hours crisis counseling and crisis intervention to homeless youth at The Shaw House emergency shelter and Shaw House Programs.
