Daily Duties at Quintiles:
• Responsible for gathering business and system requirements for in house developed software and off the shelf packages. • Designed user interfaces for green-field development and system enhancements. • Wrote documents to outline business and user requirements, functional specifications, system requirements, and use cases. • Created and documented a new user interface for Microbiology services, Hematology Differentials, and a Project Design module. • Each of these modules resulted in gains in performance and time of at least 50% for the departments in question. • Participated in other aspects of the systems development lifecycle by reviewing and consulting on test plans and test cases; reviewing validation plans and participating in test plan execution. • Responsible for system help documentation as well as training documentation. Responsible for managing documentation using a formal change control system. Projects included: large and small system enhancements on terminal, windows and .NET platforms as well as systems integration for both off the shelf packages and shared services.
