Daily Duties at Saint Luke The Evangelist Elementary School:
I taught art to grades K-8.I had 18 classes in three days. I taught a toltal of 450 students each week. While going to graduate school and raising 2 small children, I designed art curriculums for grades K-8, without assistance. I put into practice the different learning abiltities, verbal, kinesthic, visual and auditory. I had special education students in each class. I obtained their disabilities, and arranged lessons, and purchased special art materials for these students. I kept a weekly lesson plan book, assigned grades for each project, and submitted grades, quarterly and year end grades. I had a wonderful relationship with our principal, who allowed me complete freedom in developing my curriculums. I worked with classroom teachers to integrate lesson plans with our art projects. I was given an art budget, and ordered all supplies. I was the art department.
