Daily Duties at Sun Microsystems:
• Component Engineer responsible for the RoHS migration of Sun SPARC High End Server • Researching obsolescence status of component parts. • Specifying replacements for non-compliant or obsolete parts. • Building new bills of material to conform to new parts. • Contacted vendors to inquire on part compliance. • Acting as liaison between vendors and engineering staff. • Compiling data for spreadsheets that show program progress. • Redlining drawings with new part numbers.
