Daily Duties at Laidlaw Corporation:
- P&L multi-plant responsible for over $6M- per year in operation capital - Prepares operating and capital expenditure budgets, and monitors adherence throughout the year. Participates in development of strategic initiatives to maintain and enhance market share, and ensure profitability of the company. - Work with Marketing in assessment of trends and developments in a high volume consumer oriented environment; planning production according to marketing/sales forecast. - Establish objectives for manufacturing and manufacturing support groups, guiding management, overseeing action plans, and monitoring and assessing performance. Ensure the manufacture of quality products. - Directs the materials function including planning inventory investment, logistics, distribution overseeing materials control and monitoring adherence to established targets. Implements and revises policies and procedures affecting manufacturing and engineering operations. - Determine staffing requirements and utilize labor usage in coordination with manufacturing needs. - Assist in the development of policies, practices and attainment of goals for continuous improvement. Develop the synergy between technical and human capabilities to achieve maximum manufacturing performance. - Ensure the safe performance of all employees -598 days without accidents.
