Daily Duties at Qa Training, Inc.:
Meet with Senior Management of client companies to determine their IT Strategies for moving toward a distributed computing environment; consult with them on positives and negatives of their movement strategies and note any changes made from our consultation. Then interview a cross section of the IT population (Managers/Supervisors, Developers, operators) to determine how well the transition strategy proceeding, if at all, and how well it has been communicated. From there, prepare customized materials for a series of seminars given to all members of the IT organization: everyone gets the same message (we called this "sheep dip", an experience shared by the flock). Depending on Schedules present the seminars: typically there were four, of which I usually did the first two. After those were over we would return for follow-on consulting and mentoring for key projects and the organization as a whole.
What they like about Qa Training, Inc.:
You highly value a work environment built on a formal structure, rules, and regulations. You do not enjoy the unpredictability of shifting priorities and deadlines that upset your routine. You require and enjoy direction, input and accountability as part of your work environment. You have a strong need to participate in making key decisions and feel left out if your superiors or co-workers do not seek your input when making decisions. You thrive on providing good customer service to both internal or external customers, and doing so makes you feel good.
