Daily Duties at Supervalu:

➢ Establish formal workers’ compensation policies and procedures, including management and employee training. ➢ Interacting with injured employees, management, human resources, medical providers, insurance carriers, rehabilitation specialists and legal in managing successful resolution of claims. ➢ Ensure compliance with State and OSHA recordkeeping requirements. ➢ Facilitate employees’ return to work following disability, occupational and non-occupational, including transitional duty, redeployment of employees and rehabilitation activities. This would include working with the employees, internal/external disability managers, human resources, employee’s managers, doctors, and insurance companies. ➢ Monitor and provide assistance to case management i.e. medical, work hardening and job placement. ➢ Oversee claim settlement recommendations. Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and hearings. ➢ Monitor the insurance company’s reserving practices to ensure they accurately reflect the exposure of a claim. ➢ Coordinate and participate in claim reviews. ➢ Provide reports to management tracking loss information, lost time injuries, loss trends, and OSHA monthly and annual reports. ➢ Administer 150 up to 250 claims from start to finish in a timely, efficient and effective manner.
