Daily Duties at Alliant Techsystems:
• Effectively organized daily activities for 15 subordinates in the Material Control, Safety, Maintenance, Shipping and Receiving areas. • Site focal for property, both customer and government owed. Ensured all property was properly identified and maintained. • Coordinated and executed processes and systems that ensured availability of materials. • Identified potential and actual disruptions to production or supply chain and developed a resolution plan. • Ensured compliance to internal and external requirements for company audits. • Ensured a steady flow of materials to the shop floor to eliminate any work stoppages. • Led team in developing and improving inventory processes through utilization of Supply Chain techniques. • Operations Teams implemented/oversaw/documented/maintained improvements such as: Floor Space reduction leading to expansion in productivity Reduction in workforce injuries resulting in less work hours lost Cost savings due to improved processes which led to bonuses for the employees • Facilitated introduction of new inventory management techniques and systems into current processes that reduced loss of inventory. • Worked with customers to ensure on-time delivery of products. • Served as Auditor for Processes and Procedures to ensure compliancy to ISO 9001 standards. • Provided maintenance support and vast supplier/contractor knowledge to successfully relocate 100,000sf facility from Corona, CA. to San Diego, CA. • Provided LEAN training for workforce that resulted in a reduction of waste throughout the site.
