Directed up to 25 full time HIM staff and two site locations, including Medical Transcription, Release of information, Chart analysis areas. Managed Physician notification & suspension. Maintained consistent Medical Record Delinquency rates, below 10% Manage AR days HIM issues; with goal of less than 1.5 AR days Birth Certificate generation & submission Generation and submission of various State of TN reporting Implemented electronic medical record (EHR) Worked with HSC Leadership regarding SMC’s HIM department migration into the HSC Model Medical Record reviews, per regulatory requirements Performed on-site facility rounds for potential HIPAA violations; researched / investigated all HIPAA potential reportable events (PRE) and report to HCA Corporate Ethics & Compliance, as necessary
