Closing attorney and legal advisor to real estate section of company investment department. Responsibilities included all facets of closing shopping center and other commercial real estate loans throughout United States, including document preparation, due diligence investigations, title and survey reviews, tenant lease reviews, and supervision of outside counsel. Advised department personnel on general real estate matters, including bankruptcy of major retail tenants, and negotiated settlements to various lawsuits and disputes. Negotiated lease agreements for company's field offices and home office building.
