Daily Duties at Cascade Windows, Inc. (Under Contract):

Door and window manufacturer. 500+ employees in WA, UT, CA. Coached and assisted managers and provided leadership direction in addressing concerns and needs for recruiting, staffing plan development, attendance and absenteeism, turnover, and leadership development. Developed leadership development plan for executive team and for operations managers, resulting in a more cohesive, and collaborative team versus the prior silo approach when solving problems.  Influenced a drop in turnover after developing workforce management tool for plant managers to use when handling floor situations when overstaffed and understaffed. As a more substantial result of the management tool, allowed potential, multimillion-dollar lawsuits (for unlawful discharge) to be mitigated.  Secured an immediate $12K savings per month after moving indirect labor recruiting in-house. Hired recruiter with employee relations experience, which provided an additional benefit of addressing behavioral needs for positions.  Slashed absenteeism rates > 35% after changing PTO usage requirements for nonexempt employees to hourly use. Resulted in an immediate positive impact on both absenteeism and workforce scheduling.
