Daily Duties at Complete Rx, Ltd:
Houston, TX based 500+-employee, multi-state/multi-site outsourcing pharmacy management company. Reported to CEO. Planned and directed HR operations, recruiting, and training and development initiatives for ~600 employees located at 22 facilities in eight states. Also provided HR operational oversight for two sister companies: Complete Pharmacy Resources (CPR) and RemotePharmAssist (RPA). Spearheaded recruiting and retention strategy to reduce fill ratio time, trim expenses, and locate talent for challenging-to-fill positions. Conducted performance management evaluations and process improvements. Implemented formal succession planning and leadership development programs. Obtained cost-effective benefits programs that outperformed previous programs, providing enhanced benefit services to employees. Annually reviewed compensation and pay programs. Elevated communication company-wide and bridged communication gap between field and corporate office and between field and executive team. Examined and upgraded HR and Payroll. Corralled recruiting expenses while applying innovation to recruiting; e.g., social media (Twitter/Facebook); creative conference participation; and VIP/rock-star program enhancement to recruit pharmacists. Transformed HR from a tactical transactional department to more of a partnership to all company business units. Slashed outside recruiting expenses $500K (from $750K) in first nine months; and overall $1.3M during tenure. - Reduced vacancy rate > 50%, and cut time to fill rate by 35% after reorganizing recruiting department. - Hired two highly experienced pharmacy recruiters, implemented recruiting metrics, brought all recruiting in-house (except for hard-to-fill positions) and renegotiated contracts for lower fees with external recruiters. Transferred ownership of employee goals and development back to managers instead of HR staff after implementing manager coaching program. Freed up HR staff for other projects. Enabled managers to better prepare and administer performance evaluations. Developed online training program to educate managers in use of performance evaluations. Cut $20K in fees while increasing technology services and improving customer service responsiveness to employees after engaging the services of a new benefit broker. Optimized organizational communication tactics in the field as an executive representative for accounts located in GA, TN, DE, and MD. Proactively reached out to clients in the field, visiting all accounts once per quarter. Provided confidential feedback mechanism for employees to share their concerns and ask questions of an executive.
