Daily Duties at Vip International:

• Supervised a staff of 100 employees with overall responsibility for VIP’s purchasing, procurement, and leasing of equipment, materials, and supplies for sulfuric acid plant maintenance throughout North America, Australia, U.K., and Chile. • Additionally responsible for purchasing group airline flights, hotel accommodations, vehicle and industrial equipment rentals, and all freight and shipping of equipment. Managed procurement card program, pagers, computers and maintenance, uniform rental, office equipment, cellular phones, truck leasing, parts, and rolling equipment. Prepared purchase orders and bid requests, reviewed all requisitions, submitted bid proposals, negotiated contracts, and managed procurement records of vendor inspections for quality control. Set up contracts and rental agreements with industrial safety equipment and hand tool suppliers, national car rental companies and national hotel chains, and national industrial equipment rental firms. • Reviewed and verified invoices from vendors for delivery, inspection of quality, and accuracy of cost. Submitted invoices to the Accounts Payable department for payment processing. Researched new and innovative services and supplies to safely expedite job execution, utilizing outsourcing, benchmarking, and interviewing of various companies. Performed other duties and special projects as assigned
