Daily Duties at Shintech Llc Contracted Through Turner Industries:

• Currently serve as Construction Buyer / Material Control for a leading chemical manufacturing corporation and integrated polyvinyl chloride (PVC) complex representing the largest U.S. investment ever ($1 billion) by a Japanese chemical manufacturer. Shintech is the wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of Tokyo-based Shin-Etsu Chemical Company (www.shinetsu.co.jp) the world's largest manufacturer of PVC, located on a 1,725-acre site just south of the city of Plaquemine. • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction buying and procurement activities, improving delivery systems, and establishing / maintaining advantageous vendor relationships and networks. Successfully negotiated contracts and purchases totaling over $11 million dollars and generated savings of over $2 million dollars within 11 months. • Additionally serve as Logistics & Material Coordinator for heavy equipment being transported to plant from the U.S. and imported from overseas, a project worth over $1 billion dollars, as well as coordinating the import, transportation, and delivery of over $500 million dollars in heavy equipment. • Equipment and services procurement includes metal and non-metal tanks, filter systems, valves, pumps, expansion joints, fabricated strainers, MCC electrical stations, pressure vessels, Teflon-coated sight glasses, electrical supplies, phone installation, wiring, hydrogen dryers, air compressors, gas monitors, blowers, heat exchangers, stainless steel hoses, rotating sieves, heavy equipment transportation, construction services, maintenance services, electrical contracting services, warranty services, and more. • Work closely with Chemical and Electrical Engineers, Construction Project Managers, Warehouse Managers, Maintenance Managers, and Vendors on material deliveries, unloading, and warranty issues. Vendors include Crescent Power, Sabre Systems, Gaston, PEP Filters, Chattanooga, Nelson, York, AMRI Valves, ITT Gould, Turner, Hatfield, P&E, SMI, Columbian Tank, GE, John H. Carter, Petroquip, Flowcor, Summit, Aegis, Lectro Dryer, Donalson, Flowserve, Carter Chambers, Premier Equipment, Corbesco, Beard Construction, Triplex, Verantis, Thermon, Stancore, Rotex, Carbone, Gutor, Process Pump, M.C. Dean, and BBP.
