Daily Duties at Alliance One, Inc:

* Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with the CTO. * Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including Telecommunications, Internet, intranet, security, co-location facilities, interconnects, and so on. * Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements. * Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions. * Participate in the preparation of RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for infrastructure projects and associated efforts. * Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration and project management. * Define hardware and software standards. * Control and manage Carrier vendors, products and relationships for the delivery of M5 services and facilities. * Manage network & server performance, provide statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining infrastructure. * Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts. * Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services. * Manage operational costs; conduct near- and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality/user base. * Establish and maintain regular communications with M5*s executives, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding infrastructure activities. * Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures and threat risk assessments and mitigations. * Establish service level agreements with M5*s business units. * Practice IT asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation. * Manage and coach network engineers and system administrators.
