Daily Duties at Federal Aviation Administration:
Air Traffic Controller Completed three years of training in Oklahoma City, OK and Miami, FL on principles of flight, weather, aircraft recognition, air traffic procedures, aerodynamics of aircraft, emergency readiness, phraseology, FAR's, radar and non-radar procedures, interphone transmissions, coordination between facilities, ATIS broadcast, Flight Service Stations services and the use of the IBM 9020 computer. Responsible for the control of designated airspace for Miami Air Route Traffic Control Center. Worked with surrounding facilities in the development of Letters of Agreement and also various military missions as required. Received numerous letters of commendation, one for the implementation of a phone line between facilities that improved coordination. Miami ARTCC was selected FAA facility of the year two years in a row where I served on the host
