Daily Duties at Merrill Lynch:

Graduated from the Professional Development Program with its highest rating, Far Exceeds Requirements. Qualified for the maximum program bonus ($43,000) and 3 advanced training classes in Princeton, NJ. In 1999 I worked as one of 3 licensed brokers on a 5 person team managing $140MM of assets. In that one year, we increased sales by 15% vs. the firm average of 9% and increased the annuitized production from 38% to over 60%. We lead the office (40 Consultants) in Masters points and financial planning points. I was also awarded membership in the Executive Club. I specialized as the team leader on financial planning and retirement accounts. I personally conducted the input interview and presentation for over 60 financial plans. We achieved a team priority household incentive bonus of $35,000 for 1999.

What they like about Merrill Lynch:

Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
