Daily Duties at Labor & Industries (L&I) – State Of Washington:
Reporting to the Manager of Information Security Services. Managed mobile computing for L&I employees and trusted partners requiring access to L&I network assets while located outside of “hard connections”. This project established full disk encryption, enhanced firewall authentication, Citrix Appliance authentication via Active Directory, and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) / Virtual Private Network (VPN) authentication. Successes Metrics: The completion of this project continues to enable L&I to provide safe, secure and convenient connectivity for trusted partners and employees working from remote locations. Completed on time and on budget with such a level of success that the Department of Information Services (DIS) now repeatedly offers this same service to additional state agencies.
