Daily Duties at Anixter Inc:

Direct responsibility and accountability for all branch sales and account development. Responsible for selling represented products within an assigned region ensuring target sales achievement and world class customer satisfaction. Carry out all sales functions including: follow up on all sales opportunities, building successful relationships with customers, research and monitoring of competitor efforts and strategies, and creating successful profitable sales strategies. Responsible for major market growth and capture including: Commercial, Electrical, and Industrial contractors, OEM, Mining, Security integrators, Federal, State, and Local Government agencies, and Utility providers. New market and sub-market development and capture, new product rollout and training, major account management, client relationship development, contract negotiations, and order processing for multi-state territory. Hold profit and loss and budget responsibilities for $30M dollar branch. Create and implement business and market plans with emphasis on new market and product development specific to local opportunities and trends. Responsible for all sales team training and development in areas of sales cycle, cold calling, vendor partners, competitor resources, account management, profitability growth, budgeting, and company policies and goals.
