Daily Duties at Msc Industrial Supply:
Responsible for all business, sales, and operational activities for the Salt Lake City, Utah location. Manage a team of 13 sales associates, 8 outside and 5 inside. Holds self and team accountable for results through exceptional coaching and consultative sales training and leadership. Coaches team to SMART goals, improvement opportunity plans, and business plan execution. Develop profitable territories and customer segments in new multistate territory. Develop and execute successful sales and marketing strategies in previously untapped customer segments including; Mining, Oil and Gas, Contractors, Aggregate, and Utility in addition to core segments of Metalworking, Manufacturing, and Government sales. Maintain and develop relationships with C-level contacts at customer sites to drive solutions sales, top line growth, and bottom line profitability. Maintain and develop partnerships with strategic vendors in MRO and Metalworking applications to capture market share and develop sales associate skills through training and joint sales calls. Provide weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and yearly sales and financial reports, business plans, SWOT analysis, and local initiative marketing and sales strategies to executive management. Cross functional team involvement and partnership with national accounts, human resources, training department, call centers, telesales team, and government team. Promotes, teaches, and demonstrates company culture, values, business ethics, and policies & procedures
