Daily Duties at Drug Free Collier:
• Leader and change agent for quality standards for prevention by spearheading community collaboration and contributions among key stake holders such as the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, mental health providers, the school district, parks and recreation, private and public sectors, chambers of commerce, housing developers, civic and youth organization under one prevention system in conjunction with Drug Free Collier’s Board of Directors comprised of local Judges, Chief Medical Examiner, Department of Health, School District Executives, Economic Development and Housing Executives as well as Public Administration Executives and high profile business owners. • Advised the President of Drug Free Collier and the Board of Directors in developing, communicating and sustaining a clear vision, mission and strategy for the organization, and set internal policy that resulted in Drug Free Collier surpassing all requirements and expectations of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration of Washington, D.C. • Provided strategic leadership through strategic planning frame work and logic models to recommend and participate in the formulation of new policies that were data driven and meet the prevention and treatment needs of every sector within a diverse and extensive Collier County. • Developed and maintained relationships with policy makers, governmental departments, media, funders, member organizations, and other relevant parties in a manner that enhanced the credibility, reputation and leadership of non-profits and coalitions; • Organized community-wide town hall meetings for the purpose of financially and programmatically sustaining prevention efforts through support from twelve (public and private) sectors in Collier County. • Acted as spokesperson for community prevention and treatment services before governmental and non-governmental organizations • Built brand awareness for the organization across all constituencies through the use of community environmental and social norming strategies. • Spearheaded “think tank” group to integrate health care, department of health and mental health care organizations to unify reporting on early detection of substance abuse and emergency reporting
