Daily Duties at Vulcraft Division Of Nucor:
Design open web steel joists and joist girders for a variety of non-residential structures including commercial buildings, schools and churches. Provide engineering insight as needed to detailers as to the correct design requirements based on a review of the project drawings and specifications. Provide engineering guidance to shop order and production personnel in order to satisfy the design requirements. Partner with research and development in new product development and product improvement. Provide engineering support to outside engineers, steel fabricators and erectors in regards to joist and steel deck products furnished.
