• Contributed to an independent molecular project for Cystic Fibrosis patients at Eurasme hospital in Brussels • Prepared documents and updated the hospital on the findings in the study and detailed daily work in a laboratory notebook • Perfected molecular techniques for diagnostic assay, using universal, semi-specific, and specific bacterial primers • Trained colleagues in the sterile procedures of bacterial PCRs, use of automated and manual LIPA, and gel electrophoresis • Isolated bacterial DNA from sputum samples • Prepared specific bacterial strain probes for CF LIPA strips
