Daily Duties at Kelly Air Force Base:
Developed NDI procedures to ensure safe operation of weapon systems, contributed to reducing cost by timely inspection, avoiding unnecessary costly repair/replacement and saving thousands of dollars. Provided training to engineers, technicians/field operators to perform inspection and evaluation. Area of knowledge: penetrant & magnetic particle inspections, eddy current & ultrasonic inspections, part and fixture design, training. Example of projects: 1) ultrasonic inspection procedure for turbine engine blades, 2) eddy current inspection for engine compressor hub, 3) penetrant inspection for flaps hinge.
