Daily Duties at Uss Saipan:

Assisted the embarkation officer and commander in deploying the force. Advised, guided, assisted and trained units preparing for deployment. Prepared embarkation/load plans, monitored the loading/off loading of personnel, equipment and supplies aboard ships, aircraft, rail and other modes of transport. Developed, analyzed and executed movement and embarkation/load plans and conducted airfield and port group operations. Performed appropriate administrative duties, compiled and maintained logistics and combat service support data, computed requirements and coordinated basic logistics and combat service support functions to support task force operations. Maintained communication with Team Embarkation staff during planning and execution of activities. Monitored space usage ensuring inspections were being conducted and discrepancies were documented. Trained staff and ship’s platoon in technical military occupational skills.
