Daily Duties at Texas Instruments:
Developed and enforced Project Management Office (PMO) and corporate policies impacting employees, peers, internal/external customers and interactions with enterprise business-critical systems. Chaired weekly Infrastructure Management Steering Team (IMST) meetings to review, plan & approve strategic direction for all business/IT sustaining activities. Served on Enterprise Architecture Board (EAB) developing standards for internal process and projects. Authored code standards, enforced change promotion process, maintained quality code tree and approved all technical designs and code reviews (PL/SQL & J2EE). Direct enterprise applications development team in global support and enhancement of enterprise-critical systems including Oracle e-Business Suite: Oracle Financials Suite Oracle CRM Suite Oracle Supply Chain Management Suite Oracle Data Warehouse [Discoverer, OBIEE] Managed Oracle e-Business Suite v11.0.2 to v11.5.9 global upgrade project developing three and maintaining six interdependent project schedules using MS Project Server 2003 and MS Project Web Access; reversed Oracle Applications management strategy from ‘customization’ to ‘customization elimination and minimization’, retired 1000 customizations and extensions streamlining Oracle Applications operation and maintenance activities. Managed and executed user acceptance and integrated testing activities. Provided status updates to C-level executives and stakeholders. Procured all-new enterprise infrastructure for upgraded Prod & non-Prod environments. Project delivered on-time over a 15-month period, expended an incremental budget of $1.4M. Managed Oracle e-Business Suite v11.5.9 to v11.5.10 global upgrade project. Chaired weekly domestic and bi-weekly European project meetings, and provided periodic project metric reports to executive management. Global project team of 73 (N. America, Europe and Asia). Delivered on-time, with zero incremental budget in five months. Conceived ‘slap and ship’ technical approach overseeing implementation of Gen2 Wal-Mart compliant RFID solution utilizing customizations to Oracle Manufacturing Suite and Yantra WMS. First Wal-Mart supplier to comply with Gen2 RFID tagging requirements (12/28/05). Sized, procured and deployed hardware. Delivered on-time, within allocated $70K incremental budget, over six-months with no downtime to enterprise business systems. Led development (custom integration) between Oracle eBS v11.5.10.2 and Acresso (Intraware) SubscribeNet solution for software entitlement management. Designed custom solution including integrations with and customizations to eBS. Ensured adherence to SOA/development standards. Led development in custom integration (Oracle eBS v11.5.10 and Demantra Demand Driven Planning v7.2.2). Performed Demantra application technical configuration (Series, Worksheets, Workflows, Import & Export Integrations), designed end-to-end integration solution (five custom integrations). Developed customizations to Demantra and eBS supporting business requirements. Developed interfaces from Enterprise Data Warehouse to Demantra staging tables (t_src_items, t_src_sales & t_src_loc). Developed custom business data cleanup script to truncate non-pre-seeded data to facilitate rapid deployment of CRP environments via clone process. Directed domestic/off-shore teams in development of custom credit card encoding/decoding solution for Oracle Applications; consisted of modified standard class file (ECServletRequest.class), and configuration file (jserv.properties), two modified standard packages (arcusbab.pls, asoipayb.pls), ten custom triggers, custom package, class file and custom decode script. Project team included technical architecture expertise provided by Oracle Consulting (no charge); delivered on-time, with zero incremental budget over six-months resulting in no downtime to enterprise business systems. Led technical teams in design/implementation of 20 customizations supporting software product releases. Business process re-engineering/development resulted in five custom tables, three custom interface programs, four custom web pages, two custom Oracle forms, four custom Oracle Alerts, two DFFs w/ value sets, substantial Order Booking and PO Workflow packages. Included integration to Nalpeiron License Management solution. Ensured adherence to service oriented architecture (SOA) and development standards. Completed on schedule, zero incremental budget.
