Daily Duties at Constitution State Services St. Paul Travelers, Inc., :

Received and handled all aspects of Ohio self-insured workers compensation claims from receipt to conclusion, litigated and non-litigated. Worked as a co-adjuster in the Critical Care unit for more complex claims, such as: injuries that are serious or catastrophic in nature; complex medical diagnosis with potential for significant financial exposure; multiple internal organ trauma; head injuries with loss of consciousness. Managed medical treatment and provided authorizations, reviewed and approved bills to be paid under Ohio’s usual and customary fee schedule. Utilized vocational rehabilitation plans with outside medical providers on complex claims to be cost effective for the client and also provide the injured worker the ability to resume their normal work duties or return back to work in a modified fashion. Designed claim resolution plans, set appropriate reserves with documented rationale, maintained and adjusted reserves over the life of the claim to reflect changes in exposure. Authorized payments within scope of authority. Coordinated and performed investigations and evaluated claims via client contacts, claimants, witnesses and other experts.
