Daily Duties at Monterey County Treasurer/Tax Collector:
- Built, administered, updated and/or maintained critical departmental database systems: o Monterey County property tax system, MPTS2000+ (SQL), o Treasury, investment and banking system (Sungard, SQL), o Divisional support and helpdesk database (SQL), and o Divisional information systems inventory and licensing database (MS Access). - Directly responsible for the operation and maintenance of 11 mission-critical divisional and shared servers: o Planned data backup protocol and implemented Symantec Backup Exec with robotic tape library to ensure division’s ability to recover critical data with minimal down time. o Planned and implemented antivirus and antispyware solutions (Symantec AnvtiVirus, Spybot) to ensure security of data and network - Installed solutions for collecting detailed information on deployed hardware and software within departments. Built and maintained database to document departmental software license compliance. - Planned and executed implementation of secure VPN connection to California DMV.
