Daily Duties at Monterey County Natividad Medical Center:
- Data mining of hospital and outside data systems: Gathered and interpreted information on a wide variety of hospital business functions such as daily census figures, staff productivity, premium time usage each pay period, and methods of performance at other institutions - Analyze and package information gathered and present findings to hospital management and administration for the development of budgets, contracts, and other business plans. - Contract negotiation team member: integrated historical NMC physician practice data and data from outside hospital to provide hospital representatives and administration with the tools needed to negotiate and prepare new outside physician group contracts. - Developed and implemented productivity analysis tool to compare physician salary to work RVUs. Used this tool as a baseline for the development of an incentive plan for all employed physicians at Natividad Medical Center.
