Manage a case load of sales and use, income, corporate excise, and a variety of other taxpayer appeals. Review and evaluate all facts and issues. Schedule, prepare, and conduct taxpayer hearings. Analyze tax returns and taxpayer proposals and arguments. Apply state and federal statutory, regulatory, administrative, and case law to the relevant facts and issues. Prepare letters of determination, settlement recommendations, and other memoranda setting forth the Office’s recommendations, findings, reasoning, and conclusions of law. Evaluate the hazards of litigation.
