Daily Duties at Benjamin Moore & Co.:
• Collaborate with senior scientists to develop, enhance and execute formulations of new and test-marketed paints in order to support company-wide Research and Development initiatives. • Conduct product tests and data analyses, utilizing an understanding of process, analytical method and computer systems validation, as well as statistical computation and research data analysis, in order to quantify and measure paint viscosity, temperature effects, gloss, color and other product properties. • Liaise and interact with counterparts and senior chemists in the Colorant and Latex Groups enhance product development, identify problem areas, and subsequently formulate and implement resolution strategies • Identify and resolve foaming, settling, and syneresis problems within pain samples produced at manufacturing sites. • Managed and oversaw production upscaling of paint volumes from half pint to 2, 5 and 55 gallons, respectively. • Employed internal best practices, including proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment and implementation of appropriate testing methods.
