Daily Duties at Niehs:
Performed basic scientific research, participated in departmental conferences and national scientific meetings, presented my research ideas and data to the department, guided other lab members in their research projects, wrote and edited scientific manuscripts. My research project focused understanding the physiological processes in the brain that mediate the neuroprotective effects of nicotine in Parkinson’s Disease. Gathered data was used for a publication in a peer-reviewed scientific journal.
