Daily Duties at Management Technologies:

Supervised the Word Processing Center at the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) in support of over 300 government personnel. Planned, organized, directed, and scheduled the day-to-day work of 4 personnel in the preparation of correspondence, documents, graphic presentations, and messages. Prepared and executed plans for assigned projects, including budget estimates detailing manpower, hours, travel, and other direct costs. Executed and supervised project plans and developed monthly reports providing the status of tasks in progress, milestones, problems and resolutions, and budget expenditures and projections. Prepared U.S. Message Text Format (USMTF) messages in accordance with DoD Joint Interoperability and Engineering Organization and Defense Information Systems Agency regulations. Utilized USMTF program software designed to ensure compatibility and interoperability of tactical Command and Control systems among the services with joint operations. Applied message text formats and guidelines found in the Joint Information and Engineering Organization U.S. Message Text Handbook and Joint User Handbook for Messages Text Format messages. Generated USMTF messages to utilize and test the Joint Automated Message Editing System, Joint lnteroperability of Tactical Command and Control Systems (JINTACCS) Automatic Message Handler, and JlNTACCS Automated Message Preparation System message generation software, providing difference listings between message generation systems and system release versions to government personnel. Used Joint Army, Navy, Air Force Publication 128; DoD-STD 2167A, Defense System Software Development; MIL-STD-847B, Format Requirements for Scientific and Technical Reports Prepared by or for the DoD.
