Daily Duties at L3 Communications/Ilex Systems:

Worked in the CECOM Worldwide Operations Center. Provided support to field operations in 7 regions within the U.S., Korea, Panama, Germany, and the Balkans. Processed requests for contractor support to military exercises and operations; estimating manpower, travel, and other direct costs. Provided software configuration management support for the Integrated Meteorological System and Digital Topographic Support System (DTSS), and Intelligence and Electronic Warfare (IEW) All Source Analysis System (ASAS) systems, including the ASAS-Light (ASAS-L), Compartmented ASAS Message Processing System, Trusted Workstation, and Guardrail Common Sensor. Tracked 21 software baselines (including associated documentation and commercial application licenses) operating on 311 hardware platforms (including data on workstation types, drives, processors, serial numbers, peripherals, and operational status) at 39 locations within 7 countries. Oversaw and accounted for over 275 US Army CECOM assigned contractor executed tasks annually, including establishing and monitoring related timeline requirements for over 1100 products and providing periodic reporting of status, trends, projections, expenditures, and potential issues and resolutions. Experienced in technical development and editing of documents such as the system Version Description Document, Software User's Manual, System Administration Manual, Functional User's Manual, and system delta lists for IEW ASAS systems. Knowledgeable in the creation of technical test reports from raw test data, test logs, matrix data, and incident reports. Experienced in technical editing of system documentation for configuration controlled message handling systems utilizing Joint Army, Navy, Air Force Publication 128; Department of Defense-STD 2167A, Defense System Software Development; Military Standard 847B, Format Requirements for Scientific and Technical Reports Prepared by or for the Department of Defense (DoD). Understand supported system software related security issues and procedures for both secure and non-secure Military Intelligence systems, including system software fielding accreditation and certification requirements. Have working knowledge or U.S. Government security regulations, including DoD and Department of the Army security procedures, and system-specific security classification guides as they apply to the utilization, control, collection, and distribution of supported system software and associated documentation. Participated in the development of several contract bid proposals and in administrative, technical, and special project briefings, meetings, and working groups.
