Daily Duties at L3 Communications/Ilex Systems:

- Administered the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) European Region Software Support Office in Heidelberg, Germany. Performed all office administrative management actions. Familiar with the Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) process. Provided edit input to TESA application resumes to better meet the requirements of the host country. Established an office routine that ensured all suspense actions were met, reports were accurate and timely, and region personnel assets were able to respond to changing unit support requirements. Estimated personnel assets required, travel and other direct costs requirements for unit planned exercises and activities. Responsible for petty cash funds, obtaining vendor estimates, local purchasing, billing, and shipping, keeping costs within government and CECOM purchasing regulations and requirements. Made travel arrangements for 23 permanent-party engineers at 9 European Region sites and numerous visiting personnel during deployments to locations within and outside the region. Provided configuration management support for over 27 engineers within Europe, Kosovo, and Bosnia, and over 300 supported workstations at 45 locations in 7 countries. Duties also included providing rear support for 13 Field Engineers deployed to Kuwait and Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Coordinated with military and government entities for required contractor personnel pre- and post-deployment actions and support, processed deployment-related paperwork and suspense items; arranged short notice, cost-effective travel into war zone, and supported families of deployed personnel.
