Daily Duties at Corrections Corporation Of America:

Responsible for the smooth operation of a correctional facility housing in excess of 3000 inmates.

Supervise a staff of over 80 Corrections Officers, ensuring the safety and security of the facility.

Monitor the activities within the facility, to include; inmate feeding, visitation, medical appointments, facility maintenance and inmate movement.

Create daily shift schedules, shift reports, overtime reports and notification to higher authority on inmate movement and status.

Utilize a variety of proprietary and non proprietary computer software to include Microsoft “Word” “Excel” “PowerPoint” and “Outlook.”

Conduct periodic counts of the inmates to verify inmate population.

Review and approve written reports. Compile information regarding inmate/ staff incidents within the facility and submit the findings to a higher authority.

Conduct safety and security drills.

Verify tool and key inventories.

Ensure the strict adherence to company policies, directives and procedures.

Recommend discipline for violations of company policy.
