Daily Duties at The Neuropsychiatric Clinic:

The Neuropsychiatric Clinic remained open from Aug. 1980 to March 2008. It was a thriving clinic. I was the only psychiatrist but the clinic had as many as six (6) psychotherapist. I as well had a very active forensic practice. I hospitalized my patients at Mercy Hospital Iowa City, Iowa from 08-11-1980 until 03-2008. IT IS A SAD NOTE THE MY PRACTICE BECAME A VICTIM OF A VERY LARGE FRAUD SCHEME---INSURANCE FRAUD, BUSINESS FRAUD, IDENTY FRAUD AND AN ACCOUNTING'S FIRM GROSS MISMANAGEMENT. THE FINAL ITEM IS THAT THE TAX FRAUD ---OF WHICH I KNEW NOTHING---AND IN FACT THE TAXES HAD BEEN PAID BUT DID NOT GET TO THE IRS AND THE IOWA REVENUE SERVICE. THE PROFESSIONAL CORPORATION FRAUD BURDEN WAS SO LARGE I WAS FORCED TO CLOSE THE PRACTICE AS A PART OF A PROFESSIONAL CORPORATION--"OFFER-IN-COMPROMISE". YES A DIFFICULT AND SAD ENDING.

What they like about The Neuropsychiatric Clinic:

Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
