Daily Duties at Bp:
Reconciled actual and estimated gross margins to trade floor expectations, recorded activity and tied results to the General Ledger while ensuring all variances are analyzed, properly explained and documented in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Maintained representation of transportation contracts within the monthly margin report as well as other monthly calculations related to expense or revenue that remained within the limitations of the system parameters. Analyzed fixed cash costs against plan amounts including preparation of reports for management. Assisted with the conversion of the new MTM standardization project for all TC Op Groups located in Houston. Prepared and presented profit sharing results to key management of a new acquisition. Liaison between trading, accounting, credit, and information technology departments to ensure accurate reporting.
