Daily Duties at Legacy Systems Inc:
Project Leader, Architect and Developer of automated web-based document management system, and medical coding tool for Medical Coding Service Bureau. Developed and designed system from the ground up; created two versions (thick client and web-based thin client). Developed expertise in MS Visual Studio, Visual Basic, ASP, JSCRIPT, VBSCRIPT, C++, COM, MS SQL 2000, Symphonia, ATAF, CodeStudio, and ColdFusion. Launched design using Use Cases, Database Modeling diagrams, Object Modeling diagrams, and Application Architecture diagrams using Visio Profressional. Software development methodologies included Requirements, Executive Summary, Design, User & Technical Documents. Using walkthroughs and demos at multiple steps throughout. Led Y2K Projects for former Knowledge Data Systems Clients. Converted expansive hospital systems PCMS and LIS (Patient Care Management System, and Laboratory Information System).. Coordinated efforts of five consultant firms. On completion of coding and testing, the systems were rolled out to major clients with minimal disruption and impact to business flow and patient care. Senior Support Consultant of former Knowledge Data Systems clients. Optimized, monitored and tuned application and system software – hospital information systems, PCMS and LIS (Patient Care Management System, and Laboratory Information System). Wrote PCMS and LIS applications in COBOL74 & 85, SCOBOL, TAL, ENFORM, ENABLE, FORTRAN, and C; using ENSCRIBE and Non-Stop SQL-MP database management systems, running on Tandem CLX, VLX, Cyclone and Himalaya platform(s).
