Daily Duties at Nordson Efd:

Worked with customers and Product Line (Marketing) Managers to maximize utility of existing products and improve sales. Designed and selected assembly tools for new products. Reviewed and approve part and assembly drawings. Worked with vendors and machine shop to assure production cost was kept under target. Worked with team to write product specifications. Designed part to meet specifications. Collaborated with managers to define assembly sequences. Designed and launched new cartridge fill station with an integrated product team to increase usage of EFD's new line of cartridges. Performed cost estimate for fill station. Led team to get RoHS (Reduction of Hazardous Substances) compliance data from vendors. Used DoE (Design of Experiments) to test for factors influencing dispensed drop size. Teamed with engineers and salesman from the UK to champion a new line of pressurized tanks from initial concept to prototypes to production. Participated as manufacturing engineer in adapting a new product development process. Designed tooling, assembly and test procedures to reduce cost of new line of valve controllers. Led reviews with engineers, machinists and assembly technicians to optimize part design and assembly for manufacturability.
