Daily Duties at Florida International University:

Combined integrity and authentic leadership to work with diverse national and global organizations. Leadership and management of the center, overseeing all aspects of strategic planning, program development, create innovative initiatives, staffing, Performance Evaluations, Implementation of Policies and Procedures. Produce reports for the US Dept. of Education (DOE) and for various departments within the University (FIU). Budget developments, Administered various Grants and Program accounts with a sum of approximately $1M per year. Allocation of Federal Grant monies, oversee the continuance and updating of the CIBER web site. Spearheaded many initiatives mandated by (DOE). Engaged and propelled between point persons in various countries when organizing Faculty Development, Student Study Abroad Programs, as well as Business, Language, Local and International Conferences. Collaborated and cultivated relationships with other entities within the university, as well as universities and companies worldwide. Key Accomplishments & Global Strategy Highlights: • Adeptly administered several DOE Grants (CIBER & FIPSE’s Europe, North America, Canada & Mexico) • Proficiently ran numerous cost-effective programs utilizing limited resources. • Successfully completed over 28 Faculty Development Programs to various countries including Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Spain, Belgium, France, China, India, South Africa. • Effectively administered over 30 (about 29% of the University’s) Student Study Abroad Programs to Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Central Europe, Ireland, Greece, China, Thailand and Australia. • Orchestrated and Hosted various conferences including: o The Western Hemisphere Business Outlook Conference. o Annual CIBER Business Language Conference & Annual CIBER Director Meeting. o Annual Academy of International Business /Journal of Int’l Business Studies Conference. o Consortium for Undergraduate International Business Education (CUIBE) Conference. o Spanish for Business Workshops for Teachers K-12 in Dade & Broward Counties.
