Daily Duties at Ibm:
I managed a project which replaced non IBM communications hardware/software with IBM equivalent. This required close coordination with lines of business owners and vendors. This project saved IBM $8 million dollars over the length of an outsourcing contract with AT&T. Project had no specific budget but was strictly a cost saving effort which paid dividends after implementation. A similar cost reduction project saved IBM another $500,000 annually by replacing non IBM network management software with IBM NetView network management software. The implementation of this software required extensive training for the technical support and help desk departments.
