Daily Duties at Indian Point Unit 2:
Perform Tours of the plant radiation controlled area, radioactive material storage areas and external radiation controlled storage and shipping areas and monitored plant and contractor health physics personnel to ensure compliance with plant procedures and federal regulations. Drafted changes to procedures and recommended changes to the physical plant layout to ensure better radiological control. Consultant to plant staff on the plant emergency plan. Wrote an exit review paper describing changes needed to ensure the plant would not receive fines for areas found in habitual violation during the outage.
