Daily Duties at Braden Manufacturing:
Supervised the accounts payable department for Braden Manufacturing & Consolidated Fabricators with disbursements ranging from $10-15mm monthly. Tracked & reported weekly disbursements to upper management. Managed weekly cash flows & quarterly forecasting. Review & approve batches of accounting clerks. Monitor aging reports & resolve payment discrepancies. Weekly check write, wires, & ACH. International & domestic banking. Process expense reports, stop pmts, void checks, positive pay, and 1099’s. Key Accomplishments and Responsibilities: • Reduced the check write process from four days a week to one weekly check run. • Work directly with bankruptcy attorney’s to review & approve bankruptcy claims for accuracy & legitimacy saving the company over $100k in false claim filings. • Collaborated with Wells Fargo bank to implement a new electronic check processing system, which eliminated hard copy checks. Trained staff on new process. • Negotiated with vendors regarding payment terms and credit limits post chapter 13-bankruptcy filing. • Established procedures & policies for accounts payable department. Implemented changes to improve productivity & increase efficiency by streamlining processes. • Identified over $150k incorrectly paid to a fabricator in China. Recovered all money owed. • Collaborated with project management & purchasing departments to ensure material & fabricators paid according to project schedules.
