Daily Duties at Snyder And Associates:

•Develop and update annual and periodic applications for FAA and Iowa Department of Transportation funding •Draft contracts for professional services, and formulate project budgets and schedules •Administer request for proposals and subcontracts for design surveys, archeological studies, categorical exclusions, geotechnical investigations, and construction testing. •Develop and solicit approval of cost opinions, engineering reports, project specifications, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Programs, construction plan sets, and Construction Observation Programs. •Submit FAA forms for notification of construction (7460), updates to the master plan record (5010), and Notice of Landing Area Proposals (7480) •Organize, coordinate, and conduct prebid and preconstruction conferences •Perform construction observation for runway, taxiway, apron, and NAVAID installation projects •Prepare and coordinate final documents for project closeouts •Manage subconsultant’s, engineers and cadd technician as part of a team to complete projects and meet client schedules. •Site various NAVAID equipment including AWOS, Rotating Beacons, and VASI’s •Calculate pre and post developed site runoff and design storm sewer systems. •Draft construction plans for general, regional, and international aviation airports, using the latest versions of Microstation, GeoPak. •Develop Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) for projects needing a National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit #2 •Prepare project applications for federally funded roadway project •Write existing condition, forecast, and facility requirement narratives for Airport Master Plans – Albany, MO and Pocahontas, IA
