Championed the cause of a private, comprehensive university to local and national corporations and foundations. Coordinated the alignment of departmental “wants” and institutional “needs” as outlined in Strategic Plan 2005 and secured the necessary financial resources to move the university forward in fulfilling its mission. Applied organizational skills and creative thinking to create dynamic environment where faculty and deans and the university’s institutional funders could “think big” and undertake innovative programs and projects with sufficient funding to assure best outcomes.
